Hello, My name is Michelle Younghans, thanks for visiting my site!
Background
Michelle Younghans's life long admiration for horses and nature is evident in every piece of artwork that she has created. Being exposed to horses and the beauty of the great outdoors at an early age growing up in the countryside of Cheltenham, England. Michelle began to develop an eye for the little details in her surrounding environment. During her early childhood Michelle received her first pony as a gift from her father and from that moment on she was forever connected to the magnificent beauty of the horse. Throughout her life Michelle continued to show her passion for horses by developing her riding abilities and when she wasn't able to ride she began drawing the magnificent creature. Realizing that she had a natural ability to draw she continued to improve her skills by studying from other artists through books and asking questions when she had the opportunity to meet with other artists in person. Although, Michelle is basically self-taught, the beauty in her artwork is evident.
In the early 1980's, Michelle was in a major car accident that took away her ability to continue riding. While she was heartbroken over her loss, she continued to express her love for the horse through her artwork. During this time she continued to develop her artwork using new mediums. Michelle's artwork has provided her many opportunities to continue to stay active in the horse world. Through these opportunities, she has developed both personal and professional relationships with some of the most prominent figures in the horse community. It has been said that Michelle's eye for detail and her ability to capture the likeness of a the horses conformation is what sets her apart from other artists.
